Originally named The Elton-Road School, Marshall Errickson School was built in 1972 and has been serving the community ever since. What was once a moderately sized modern building has become a much larger school with close to 75 staff members and 450 students.

Marshall Errickson was a former FTS Superintendent. He was thought of fondly and was a vital member of the Freehold Township Schools. It is for these and many other reasons that Elton-Road School changed its name to Marshall W. Errickson School.
